The Loves of My Life

My wife Michelle and I have 2 dogs and 3 cats – I brought the dogs to the relationship, and we adopted the cats together.

The pups:
Tater –  14 year old Beagle/Pit Bull mix. She is a handful, and definitely keeps us on our toes, even in her senior years!  If she needs to go out and we aren’t moving fast enough, her beagle howl tells us exactly how she feels about it.
Ozzie – 15 year old Standard Rat Terrier Mix. He has mellowed in his old age and has become quite the snuggler.  His favorite time of day is “ham puff time” – he gets his inhaler puffs with a special mask, and then in return he gets his absolute favorite thing ever – HAM.

The kitties:
Colby Jack and Lulu – These two are 6 year old siblings: He is an orange tabby and white domestic shorthair, and she is a solid black domestic shorthair. They are ridiculous amounts of fun.

Lulu is pretty petite, and she is smart and graceful. Colby Jack is a big kitty boy (14 lbs at his last exam), and we lovingly refer to him as a “lumberjack ballerina” – he really tries to be graceful, but he tends to smash into things and knock them over. They are the best of friends, and they sleep snuggled up together every day in their favorite bed, which is shaped like a shark head.

Percy is our newest addition – she is a brown tabby stray that turned up on the doorstep of our new home in November 2018.  Many bowls of food, heated cat houses, and a blood transfusion from Dove Lewis later, she is now happily ensconced in my mother’s bedroom.  She is a little over a year old, and she isn’t the biggest fan of other animals.  We are hoping to convert her….and we are going really slow and steady.

Passions and Hobbies

Games – All the games! I love games of all kind – RPGs, strategy board games, card games, video games, etc. Current favorites are 7 Wonders, Borderlands 2, Dungeons & Dragons campaigns, and the Fallout series.

Traveling – I don’t get to travel nearly as much as I’d like, but I love the ocean and try to get to the coast as much as possible. Being from the south (I moved here from Atlanta, GA in 2006), I do miss warm water beaches, but the Oregon coast has a beauty all its own. Lincoln City is our favorite spot.
