Jess Cameron, DVM
Mission Statement
As a veterinarian, my primary objective is to strengthen the bond between people and their pets. I fully appreciate the intricate nature of veterinary medicine, which is part science and part heart. I treat each pet with the same sensitivity and care as I would my own pet.
By understanding the importance of each individual's needs and goals we can formulate personalized treatment plans that provide comprehensive care. Through working with clients collaboratively as a team, we can determine the most effective course of action for each unique scenario. I believe this can be achieved through a blend of active listening, trust, transparency and compassion. Working with clients to help their pets feel better is one of the most rewarding parts of my job.

"Since earning my doctorate in veterinary medicine in 2013, I've had the pleasure of collaborating with a wide variety of individuals and their beloved pets. I find immense joy in learning about the stories behind these connections."

The Loves of My Life
My home is full of amazing animals, including two dogs, three cats, three chickens, an aquarium, and the memory of my beloved dog Gus. Gus was undoubtedly the love of my life; he was the epitome of sweet and loyal, and he changed my life and understanding of love and animals in unmeasurable ways.
Rufus is my loving, gentle, large, and rambunctious Labrador/Shepherd mix. Gordie is my sweet and silly little old mutt. Oy is my Scottish Fold whose amazing personality cannot be put into words. He helped heal me after the passing of Gus, for which I will eternally be grateful. Jim Jam is a very fluffy young cat with an exuberant personality which I am still learning about daily. Jasper is my 15 year old cat who is young at heart and has a brave and wild spirit. My chickens are cute and feathery, and I don’t think my fish care very much about me.
Passions and Hobbies
Outside of the clinic, I enjoy gardening, hiking, mushroom foraging, and, most of all, camping. Anything outdoors is a welcome activity for me. Cooking while listening to music is my creative outlet, and I think I’m pretty good at it. I am also a passionate fan of the Boston Bruins and anything related to hockey.
